How to get to Trang

Travelers can get to Trang from Bangkok by several means of transportations such as by train, air, bus, or private car. All the details are described below:

By Train

Rapid and express trains depart from Bangkok Railway Station for Trang Railway Station daily, taking 15 hours for the 870-kilometer journey. You can find complete information about the train schedule as welll as the train fares in Thai Baht.

Important Note: We have already included 200 Baht (or US$5) per ticket for our service fees - but we do all the works for you, such as going to train station, queuing, purchasing in advance and delivering to you. For the train in Thailand, no advance reservation is available. What we have to do is to go to the train station to purchase the ticket; only then the space is guaranteed. We can purchase the ticket 60 days before travel date.

By Air

Traveling to Trang by air is more or less quite convenient nowadays as there is at least one daily flight to Trang from Bangkok, operated by Thai Airways International. The flying time is one hour and a half.  During the weekend, Thai Airways add one more flight to accommodate the increasing demand of the passengers. At the time of this writing, the aircraft is Boeing 734. Below are the current flight schedule and airfares:

First-class and second-class air-conditioned buses depart from the Southern Bus Terminal on Borom Ratchachonnani Road in Bangkok to Trang every day, taking 12 hours for the trip. By Car
  • Highway No. 4 (Bangkok-Chumphon) to Highway No. 41 (Surat Thani-Thung Song- Huai Yot-Trang), total distance of 828 kilometers.
  • Highway No. 4 (Bangkok-Chumphon) to Ranong-Phannga-Krabi-Trang, total distance of 1,020 kilometers.
  • Highway No. 404-416 (Satun-Palian-Trang), total distance of 140 kilometers.
  • Highway No. 4-407 (Hat Yai-Phatthalung-Trang), total distance of 148 kilometers.
  • Highway No. 4-402 (Phuket-Phangnga-Krabi-Trang), total distance of 312 kilometers.
