Koh Sichang Tour was once the summer residence of H.M. King Chulalongkorn, Rama V during the nineteenth century. His House, Gardens and Shrine are well maintained to this day, and are certainly worth a visit.

Koh Sichang is refreshingly low on tourists and offers a tranquil atmosphere to relax you after the rigours of Bangkok. However, the Island does attract many Chinese, for Chinese New Year especially, who come to the Island especially to visit the temple SAKW CHAO PAW KHAO YAI (shrine of the Father Spirit of the Great Hill). Caves to the rear of the Temple are full of religious statues and artifacts.
