Kaeng Krachan National Park Tour, back to nature and smell the Flowers at Thailand's largest National park (2,915 s.q.km), where rich rain forest covers rugged mountains along the border with Myanmar. Besides the wide variety of flora and fauna Kaeng Krachan is heaven for birdwatchers with over 400 species identified.
We trip by safari car leaving Hua Hin in early morning, cross the country, see the farmers life, pineapple, mango, papaya, rice more. Then Arrival at the Kaeng Krachan reservoir. The reservoir covers an area of 46.5 s.q.km and has a capacity of 710 million cubic meters. It was built by earth, which blocked the Petchburi River. The largest island in the lake is approximately 75 s.q.km.
We go into the jungle by a road, which has been constructed in 1988 especially for tourists. It begins at the Kao Sam Yod ranger station. This road runs through primary forest and offers spectacular views of mountains and wildlife, an ocean of mountain ranges covered in deep-green forest all year round. Along the road we observe primates. Birds and other wildlife, as well as scenic views.
Lunch at Ban Krang station and trek along the jungle track, back to Kaeng Krachan reservoir and sail on the lake with photogenic scenery.
