Acupuncture : What is it?
Acupuncture, originated from Chinese Medicine, is a science of treatment of various diseases and medical conditions, and also the promotion of health. Acupuncture works by encouraging the energy flow within our body, stimulating the nervous system to release some chemicals and hormones which regulate the body's internal balance to promote natural healing and improve the function of all organs in the whole body.

The treatment consists of inserting fine solid needles at the "acupuncture points" through the skin, and applying stimulation by manual manipulation or by battery-operated electrical stimulator. The needles are left in place and the stimulation lasts about 20-30 minutes, then all the needles are removed from the body.

All the needles used are "disposable" & "single used needles", and by careful sterile technique there is no risk of infection from the treatments, including HIV disease, Hepatitis.
