Eyebrows
  1. There has to be an initial consultation with the doctor first for him to do a complete evaluation on the patient and a plan for the proper procedure.
  2. The eyebrows will be temporarily sketched on the patient's eyebrows with a pencil, the patient to see and decide on whether or not they look satisfactory to him/her. After the patient decides to have the tattoo as sketched, then the procedure is done, which usually takes about 15-30 minutes.
  3. Before the actual tattoo procedure is done, topical anesthesia is put on top the specific eyebrow area. It takes about 1 hour for the anesthesia to take effect, causing numbness and minimal pain sensation during the tattooing procedure. Embrocate a topical anesthesia on the eyebrows area and wait for 1 hour in order to make the tattooed area to be numb. While waiting for the local anesthesia to take effect, the doctor takes this time to provide post-operative care instructions to the patient. After the procedure is done, the patient goes to settle his account at the cashier and receives his medications.
  4. As soon as the eyebrow area starts to feel numb the tattooing procedure is started. The whole procedure usually takes about 20 minutes to be completed.
  5. Post-operative complications may include slight bleeding, pain, or irritation on the operative area, for about 1-2 hours after the procedure. Pain relievers may be given, without touching the wound or the dressing applied.
Skin Tattooing for skin-discoloration (Camouflage Tattooing)
  1. The procedure for tattooing of uneven skin and camouflage tattooing is basically the same as with the eyebrow tattooing. After waiting for one hour for the local anesthetic using a topical anesthetic to take effect, the procedure is started, and the length of time will depend on the size and extent of the area being tattooed, usually noted to take between 5-30 minutes.
  2. After the procedure is done, and the patient may leave the hospital with the tattooed area dressed with gauze, which may be removed after 4-6 hours.
Eyeliners / Lip liners / Full Lip / Nipple & Areola Tattooing
  1. There has to be an initial consultation with the doctor before the actual procedure can be done, for proper evaluation and possible pre-operative instructions.
  2. Post-operative care instructions are given during or after the procedure, after which the patient has to settle his account with the cashier, and receive his medications from the pharmacy.
  3. Before tattoo, the doctor will inject anesthetic medication, this make patient calm and sleep and relax, then local anesthesia is injected at the tattoo sites This usually takes about 20 minutes.
  4. After the procedure, the patient usually feels dizzy so he/she is made to rest for about 30 minutes - one hour, or for as long as the patient fully awake feels well enough to get up and walk. For patients who come for lip line/full lip tattooing, a mask is provided to protect the patient?s lip area. For patients who come for nipple tattooing, the area is dressed and covered with gauze after the procedure, and the patient may resume wearing the bra if he/she wore it before the procedure.
  5. Upon the initial consultation with the doctor, the patient who comes in for face tattoos should be prepared to remove any cosmetics or make-up which she/he may be wearing, so that the doctor can make a thorough examination of the patient's face, ,make an evaluation, and decide on which procedure to do best. The make-up or cosmetics may be re-applied after the consultation has been made.
  6. The usual procedure for the patient is to come first for initial consultation, based on a first-come, first-served basis. After the initial examination and evaluation has been done, the tattooing procedure can be scheduled. If the doctor's schedule can accommodate the patient for the actual procedure to be performed on the same day of initial consultation, it may be done. Otherwise, the patient has to come back for his schedule, as assigned by his doctor, and approved by him/her.
As part of the preparation, the patient is advised in advance:
  • not to drive her/his own vehicle after the procedure
  • to bring his/her eye glasses to wear after the eyelid tattooing. Contact lenses may be used only after a week after the procedure because there is a possibility of transient swelling of the eyes as a minor complication. If the patient does not wear eyeglasses or contact lenses, he/she is advised to wear fashion sunglasses as protection of the eyes against possible infection or trauma within the one-week period after the tattooing.
