Suvarnabhumi Airport Link officially opened

City Line City Line links Suvarnabhumi Airport and all the stations on its route. There are 8 stations in total - (starting from the airport) Suvarnabhumi Airport, Lat Krabang, Ban Thap Chang, Hua Mak, Ramkhamhaeng, Makkasan, Ratchaprarop and Phayathai. With City Line, it takes approximately 30 minutes between Suvarnabhumi Station and Phayathai Station. It operates every 15 minute from 6:00 to 24:00 each day. One way trip on City Line is currently charged at 15 baht. The price is expected to increase depending on travel distances from 2011.

Express Line Express Line provides a 15-minute non stop service between Makkasan Station and Suvarnabhumi Airport. It operates every 30 minute from 6:00 to 24:00. One way ride costs 100 baht per person, which is also planned to increase to 150 baht in 2011.

Makkasan Station Makkasan Station is the main station of Airport Link services since it is the only station providing an Express Line service when travelling to/from Suvarnabhumi Airport. It is 2-3 minutes walking distance away from MRT Petchburi Station. Makkasan Station is also called as City Air Terminal as airline checkin counters are planned to be stationed here in the future.


Phayathai Station Airport Link City Line services start and end at Phayathai Station. It has a direct access from BTS Phayathai Station, providing a convenient access to those who travel to different areas of Bangkok by BTS Skytrains. Since Express Service is only available from Makkasan Station, those who wish to ride on Express Line from Phayathai Station must firstly travel to Makkasan Station by City Line, and then transfer to Express Line from there.

Suvarnabhumi Airport Station Airport Station is located on B Floor of Subarvahumi International Airport. Passengers can access to B Floor by both lifts and escalators.Travelling between Departure Floor (FL.4) / Arrival Hall (FL.2) and the train station is simple and easy since clear directions are provided at several points of the airport.
