After the Government’s declaration to lift the State of Emergency, tourism industry in Thailand has finally bounced back. The declaration reassures visitors coming to Thailand and restores confidence in Thailand’s tourism as a whole. The new Prime Minister, Mr. Somchai Wongsawat was recently elected by the Parliament and a new democratic Government is officially formed to maintain the confidence of international communities.
Affected businesses and public services have resumed as normal. Bangkok and the rest of the Kingdom remain completely safe for tourists and foreigners. All tourist attractions, shopping centers, riverside venues as well as all roads and public and private transportation are operating normally. Only two intersections near the Government House are still closed.
All hotels, resorts, convention and exhibition centers in Bangkok and major attractions throughout Thailand such as Phuket, Pattaya, Krabi and Chiang Mai are open for business as usual. Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport and all regional airports are also operating normally.
