All commercial flights from Suvarnabhumi to resume Friday noon.
The People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) agreed on Tuesday night to leave both Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang airports within 24 hours.
After the Constitution Court dissolved the People Power, Chart Thai and Matchimathipataya parties on charges of electoral fraud, the PAD accepted the Airports of Thailand (AOT)’s demand to allow inbound flights to use Suvarnabhumi airport. The first incoming flight to the international airport is expected to land this evening at 18.00.
All commercial flights may be resumed at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport at noon on 5 December although it will take at least a week before the airport could resume full operations. The system checking procedures would be completed in one week at the soonest but no more than two weeks. Until then, all passengers are still required to check in at BITEC Bang-Na Exhibition Center, the lobby area, 1st Floor, EH106 Building. A complimentary transfer from BITEC Bang-Na to U-Tapao Airport will be provided to all passengers.
