Hole Number 5
The drive on this 2 shot par 5 is a relatively easy onw. The real challenge on this hole is the second shot which will determine if par comes easily. A double fairway awaits the second shot, and this is where the real strategy of the hole begins. Tentative golfers will hit their second shots to the lower of the two fairways. This will leave them with a demanding, uphill, short iron shot over a deep greenside to a narrow green, with another bunker guarding the back side of the green. The agressive second shot will be played to the upper fairway, leaving the golfer with a simple pitch into the green. But, to reach the upper fairway, the golfer must hit over one set of cross bunkers, while avoiding another set of cross bunkers to the left.
Hole Number 11
Club selection will be a premium when playing to this large, two tired green. Althought the golfer may find their first shot on the green, depending on the pin placement, geeting down in two putts may be quite difficult.
Hole Number 16
Althought the fairway is exceptionally wide, too cautious of drives hit to the left side of the fairway, avoiding the deep bunker and water to the right, might find a very award lie with the ball well below the golfers feet. It this case occurs, (which creates a tendency for the ball to slice), the water that protects the right side of the green will make for a very ceciting second shot. A bunker behind the back left of the green, will also collect errant shots from the conservative golfer that plays, far away the water.
