Trip Description
A perfect bus and boat trip combination trip. Enjoy one of the provinces's most dramatic views running through the mountainous terrains to the border towns, and a nice stay at the resort by the lake with the gorgeous limestone mountain backdrop. Observe the local way of life of ethnic communities floating around, visit some prominent places and enjoy an extreme experience from the visit to the west end of Thailand.

Itinerary


Day 1 (Meal : - / Lunch / Dinner) (Overnight : Baan Suan Taweechai Resort)
07.00 : Leave the accommodation in Kanchanaburi by a/c van. Continue further north of the town to the stunningly scenic Thong Papoom district.
09.00 :

Reach Khao Laem Lake in the splendid location surrounded by the mountains. Start a river journey by motor boat, cruising the lake with its exceptionnally beautiful scenery. Be impressed with the gorgeous view featuring the charming limestone mountains peaks, tropical forests and the local lifestyle of fishing community floating on the lake.

10.30 :

Reach the borderland of Sangklaburi town. Glimpse the underwater temple of the old community and the impressive view of the ethnic town with Thailand’s longest Wooden Bridge being its landmark. Spot local activities around the settlement of ethnic residents (mainly Mon, Burmese and Karen from Burma). Nice walk along the Bridge to the ethnic Mon camp, then the Mon temple and its distinctive monastry. Shopping of wooden items and other local souvenirs mainly from Burma can be very attractive due to their unique designs and incredibly reasonable price.

12.00 : Lunch at local restaurant. Then visit Three Pagodas Pass.
14.30 : Continue a river journey back to Thong Papoom.
15.00 : En route, stop at the floating village on the lake. Enjoy coffee/tea break amid the breathtaking view while observing the fishing community’s way of life.

15.30 : Return to Thong Papoom.
16.30 : Arrive Thong Papoom, check in at Baan Suan Thaweechai Resort.
17.30 : Reach Kanchanaburi, transfer to the accommodation. Leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 (Meal : Breakfast / Lunch / -)
08.30 : After ABF, leave for Pilok Village, right in the west end of Thailand along Thai-Burma Border. Glimpse the local lifestyle of ethnic people at the former mine in the stunning hilly area. Lunch at local restaurant.
13.30 :

Visit the flower garden centre and apfull of in the middle of the village.

15.00 :

Return to Kanchanaburi.

17.45 : Upon arrival, transfer to the accommodation in Kanchanaburi.
