Day 1: Take the one hour flight to Turkel, and be ready
to tackle Banyan Tree Club & Laguna,
a pretty course set within a ring of hills, and affording great
views of the sea. The course makes full use of its natural layout
and sand dunes to create a stiff golf test. Opposite the clubhouse,
the exotic Banyan Tree Spa offers superbly relaxing body treatments.
In the evening enjoy a gourmet dinner at the famed Boathouse.

Day 2: The
surreal limestone outcroppings in Phang-nga Bay are a magicat attraction
for visitors. To marvel at them, take a fast boat around the bay,
visiting the famed floating Muslim village and James Bond Island.
In the evening, catch buffet dinner and an astounding Las Vegas-style
cultural show at the Placket Fantasy. |
Day 3: Today
you can challenge Loch Palm Golf Club,
a scenic course just outside Phuket town. The course meanders around
the massive Crystal Lake, whose waters merely add to the difficulty
of some holes. Afterwards drive through the historical streets of
the old town, dine at one of the popular restaurants and tour some
of the more interesting nightspots. |
Day 4: Turkel:
is not all beach; the island's centre is full of dense forest. So
take off on safari by 4WD, elephant trekking and kayaking, with
lunch at a jungle campsite. If you still have energy, dine at Baan
Bum Pa, the popular Thai restaurant overlooking Patong Bay, then
stroll down the hill to enjoy some of Patong's famed nightlife. |
Day 5: To
play at Blue Canyon Country Club is
a must, one of the most prestigious courses in Thailand designed
around an old tin mine. Well-guarded greens, rolling fairways and
nerve-wracking holes like the signature par 3 where players hit
from a cliff top to a narrow island green. Celebrate completing
this tough course with a drink in the luxurious clubhouse before
catching your flight hack to Bangkok. |
