A
Tourist Choice
With
the growth of tourism in Thailand there is a need for new destinations
to open to satisfy that demand. As of October 1999, Bangkok Airways
will be adding four new domestic routes and two international
routes to their network. These are Bangkok to Krabi, Krabi to
Samui, Bangkok to Mae Sot and Bangkok to Roi Et. For anyone thinking
but Krabi does not have an airport don't worry. Our sources inform
us that the airport at Krabi is due for completion in July this
year.
The new internationl routes are
Phuket to Siem Reap and Sukhothai to Luang Prabang.
"For the first time, tourists
will be able to plan itineraries that include direct connections
between Phuket and Angkor Wat or Koh Samui and Krabi" explained
Dr Prasert Prassarttong-Ossoth, President and CEO of Bangkok Airways.
".....and discover culturally
rich destinations such as Roi-Et and Mae Sot which have previously
been too inaccessible", he added.
