InterContinental Returns to Bangkok

For more than 30years the Siam Intercontinental was a landmark, but now its gone and some thought the brand might disappear with it. But then recently it was announced that Le Royal Meridien Bangkok would become the new Intercontinental Bangkok

The 381-room Le Royal Meridien Bangkok, said A. Patrick Imbardelli, Managing Director, InterContinental Hotels Group Asia Pacific, “will be rebranded to become InterContinental Bangkok in July 2003. With this development, we look forward to offering international travellers in Thailand very special, exclusive service initiatives which are part of a US$1 billion investment to bring back the grand in InterContinental. They will get things in an instant, be globally connected like never before, be tended to round the clock and be surprised by little things that make all the difference.

“The InterContinental Bangkok and Holiday Inn Bangkok,” he says,” are strategically situated in Bangkok’s central business district because the location is ideal in meeting the needs of both business and leisure travellers.”
