Cuvee des Roys 1991, now pouring in First Class

Thai International Airways have recently started pouring Cuvee des Roys vintage 1991 in Royal First Class cabin on all it's flights from Europe into Bangkok. The deal is for a total of 9.000 bottles with the first order was 1.080 bottles. This is significant change as this lesser known champagne replaces the legendary Dom Perignon, as the result of blind tastings.

Cuvee des Roys 1991 is a very elegent champagne due to its content 82 % Chardonnay grape, The remaining 18% is Pinot Noir. The grapes used are grown in Comte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, Grande Valle de la Marne and are a blend of 8 Grands Crus : Avize, Ay, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger, Mesnil sur Oger, Verzenay, Verzy.

The wine has a green gold colour. The nose that is very rich with a high complexity, fresh white fruits, ripe fruits, lemon, vanilla and nuts aromas. The taste:is well balanced, full-flavoured and fresh, with a rich, elegant and very long after taste.

Champagne Duval-Leroy is also now being poured on another 9 airlines: Emirates Airlines, Ghana Airways, Middle East Airlines, Air France, Air New Zealand, Ansett, Continental Airlines, Air Portugal, Eva Airways.
