The Groovy Trick or Treat Sky Crawl

Halloween fans need not celebrate in Bangkok alone! Halloween is normally a difficult time for costumed revellers in the city of Bangkok, as few Thais know of this American tradition of dressing up and playing 'trick or treat'. Foreigners and adventurous Thais are left feeling shy about putting on costumes and make-up as few places cater to the actual tradition, and stares are the most common response.

This year, however, Aaron Frankel and his Groovy Map Crew hopes to change all that. "Now we'll have a hundred other people to party with." He says of the event that will see participants pub hopping and trick or treating in the Halloween tradition!

The Groovy Trick or Treat Skycrawl is being held in association with Seagrams' Captain Morgan's Rum and the mobile party will see many a Captain Morgan Look-a-like vying for the top prizes being given away on the night. The crawl will start at TGI Friday's at Ploenchit Center on Saturday October 28th at 7:30p.m and up to 400 guests are expected to take part.

The number of participants for the crawl portion, when party-goers will hop onto the BTS skytrain and go on a pub crawl in search of the elusive Captain Morgan, will be limited to 100. These lucky participants will get to party via the skytrain to Hard Rock Cafe and Planet Hollywood for further events and live music. The prior 'Salsa dance' skycrawl in June attracted over 100 people and was shown on Channel [V] and Star TV. Participants learned dance steps at the first venue and then had the opportunity to practice the steps at the succeeding bar and restaurant venues.

"It'll be the best Halloween in Bangkok yet," insists Aaron Frankel. "There will be no tricks, and plenty of treats."

THE FACTS : Each participant will receive drink specials, souvenir T-shirt, hat, light snacks, Skytrain transportation, a Groovy Bangkok by Night Map and the most fun they've had in costume!!
