Phuket Carnival 2008 in Patong

Celebrate the start of Phuket's busiest tourist season at the island's trendiest beachfront area of Patong. For six on-going days of this fun and vibrant festival, the Phuket Carnival returns to Patong Beach from 15-20 December 2008. Visitors and locals will be entertained by fancy parades, firework display, street performances and can participate in beach volleyball or football or various water sport competitions as well as a mini-marathon.

The spectacular parades will be held on the first and the last day of the Phuket Carnival starting from Loma Park. The famous Soi Bangla will become a well lit-up walking street with arrays of food and souvenir stalls, art exhibits, stage shows and other cultural performances and activities organised by participated Patong hotels.

Held on ten different zones around Soi Bangla and Patong Beach, a program of daily activities, complimentary vouchers, entrance tickets and souvenirs will be provided to all participants.

For celeb spotting, keep your head up for the schedule of stage performances, from 7-10 pm daily including dance shows, musical bands from jazz to hip hop, cabaret shows and cocktail-drinking competitions.
