Phang Nga 2008 Green Forever

The Phang-Nga 2008 Green Forever welcomes visitors at the start of High Season to experience Thailand's southern paradise beaches. The festival is scheduled to be held during November 10-12 at Khao Lak Centre in Takuapa district. The Phang-Nga Deputy Governor, Teerayut Eamtrakul, said the Forever Green concept focuses on nature conservancy travel and eco-tourism, allowing both public and private sectors to get involved in attracting visitors to the area.

Numerous fun-filled and colourful activities are prepared throughout the three days including a fancy parade, evening cultural performances of the southern region, a Miss Green Forever Beauty Contest, exhibition of local crafts and products plus a vast variety of scrumptious seafood, local delicacies and tourism products booths on display.

The main tourist draws in Phang Nga features the tourism award winning Koh Yao, Surin Islands, Similan Islands, James Bond Island, Khao Lak and Hat Thai Mueang National Park where you can free the turtles. Apart from joining the festival, tourists can participate in wide range of outdoor activities and adventure such as sea-canoeing, scuba diving, mountain biking, golfing, elephant cave trekking, bird watching, bamboo rafting and many more.
