Cancellation/ Refund Policy   updated  

Please review the cancellation policy by matching your check in date with the travel season in Thailand . Our rates of refund are derived from our suppliers' requirements, and can be summarized as follows:




1. Hotel Cancellation :

Normal Season :: 1 May - 31 October

Date Condition
+15 days before requested arrival date There is a 7% of paid amount as administration and banking charge
14 - 7 days before requested arrival date There is a 10% administration and banking charge
6 - 3 days before requested arrival date There is a cancellation fee of one night
2 - 0 days before requested arrival date There is a cancellation fee of your full booking amount.

In case of NO-SHOW or early check out, non refund will be made.
(Considered as cancellation without the required advance notice)

Amendment, any changes to your reservation must be made through our office not less than 5 business days prior to check-in date and NOT through the hotel reservations office. This applies to change of dates, extension of stay, early check out, delayed arrival or cancellation in full or in part.

**You should also contact us if you have any problems with your reservation on arrival or during your stay.

All requests for additional nights or rooms are subject to room availability.

All amendments will incur a fee of 200 Thai Baht.

If the amendment results in a refund of payment (reduction of stay, number of rooms, or number of people booked), a handling fee will be charged on the amount to be refunded equivalent to 7% of the total value.

Amendments are only effective when we have confirmed by email.

HotelThailand will not be responsible for any (additional) charges incurred after cancellations/ amendments without confirmation from our side.


High Season :: January 16 - April 30 and November 1 - December 14

Date Condition
+15 days prior to check-in 7% of total room price will apply for handling and banking fees.
15 days (or less) prior to check-in One night penalty plus handling fee (7%) will be charged.
7 days (or less) prior to check-in TWO night penalty plus handling fee (7%) will be charged.

High Season :: January 16 - April 30 and July 16 - September 15 for Koh Samui & Koh Phangan only.

Peak Season (Thailand) :: Period / December 15 - January 15 / Festive and Holiday period for all destinations

30 days (or less) prior to check in No refund will be made

In case of NO-SHOW or early check out, non refund will be made.

2. Tour Cancellation :

+30 days before trip commencement There is 7% banking and handling fees.
15 - 30 days 70% will be refunded
7 - 14 days 50% will be refunded
Less than 7 days no refund

* For authentication purposes, only written cancellation notices (e-mail or fax) will be accepted.

The refund will be made through bank transfer or through your credit card, depending on the original method of purchase. Additionally, although HotelThailand.com will instruct the bank to handle the crediting process immediately upon notification of cancellation, it could take from 4 to 6 weeks for the actual crediting to take place, depending on your Bank's practice.


3. Activities Cancellation :

Less than 3 business days (M-F) no refund
