Day 1 : BANGKOK - AYUTHYA - LOPBURI - PITSANULOKE (-/L/D)
Pick
up passengers from various major Bangkok hotels. Depart
from Bangkok to Ayuthaya, the former capital of Thailand.
The principal sights are the gigantic bronze statues of
Wat Mongkol Borpith, the three ancient pagodas at
Wat Phra Srisanpetch and Wat Pranangcherng. Continue
via Saraburi to Lopburi. After lunch at a local restaurant,
visit to the museum at Narai Raja Nives Palace and the
local market. Passing the Prang Sam Yod (Sacred
Three Spired Pagoda) as well as the Monkey Temple, continue
to Pitsanuloke and check-in at AMARIN LAGOON HOTEL. Dinner
and accommodation.

Thursday
/ Sunday
Day 2 : PITSANULOKE - SUKOTHAI - SRI SATCHANALAI - LAMPANG
(B/L/D)
After
breakfast, visit Wat Maha Dhat with its revered Buddha
statue, Phra Buddha Jinaraj. Depart for Sukhothai. Visit
Sukhothai Historical Park, the Ramkamhaeng Museum and
Wat Sri Chum with the gigantic Buddha statue. Lunch
at Wang Yom Restaurant in Sri Satchanalai. Continue to Lampang
and check-in at LAMPANG RIVERLODGE.
Optional
tour :
Lampang is the only town in Thailand, where horse carriages
are still used as a means of transportation. Take a leisurely
ride on the colorful horse-drawn carriages along the river
and visit Ban Sao Nak, an antique teak wood house built
on 100 wooden columns. Price per person: 350 BAHT.

Day 3 : LAMPANG - LAMPOON - CHIANG MAI (B/L/D)
After
breakfast, depart for Ko Kah to see Wat Phra Dhat Lampang
Luang housing the only Emerald Buddha besides the one
at Wat Phra Keo in Bangkok. Continue to visit Wat Phra
Keo Don Tao, a very interesting Burmese style temple.
After short stop at the colorful Tung Kwian Market, where
handicrafts, fruit, vegetables, live animals and the famous
Lampang Ceramics are on sale, proceed to Lampoon
for a visit to the famous Wat Haripoonchai, one of
the most sacred monuments in the north. Continue to Chiang
Mai and lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit
of handicraft manufactures, where the process of making
lacquer -ware, spinning and weaving of Thai Silk and painting
of paper umbrellas can be observed. Also visit a famous
Thai wood carving factory with the possibility to buy Burmese
antiques. Check-in at CHIANG MAI PLAZA HOTEL. Tonight you
will savor a traditional Northern Thai style dinner at the
“Just Khao Soy” Restaurant. After dinner, take
a walk to the famous Chiang Mai Night Market or transfer
back to the hotel.

Day 4 : CHIANG MAI (B/L/D)

Tour A : Balloon Flight over Chiang Mai
Riding in a hot air balloon is a one-in-a-lifetime experience
that you should do at least once. You will be amazed at
how quiet and peaceful it is as you float gently on the
breeze, without a care in the world. There is no better
way to see the beauty of Thailand than by a gentle free-floating
balloon flight over the mysterious countryside. Balloon
flights take place in the early morning before the earth
heats up. Flights will take approximately one hour and you
will gently rejoin the world of earthbound beings over a
glass of champagne. You will also receive a flight certificate
from the pilot.
Flights operate between October and February only!
Book early, since only 8 persons can participate in this
unique experience per day!

Optional
Tour B: Half-day bicycle tour around Chiang Mai
Get ready for take-off at 08:30 a.m., leaving the hotel
for the streets of Chiang Mai. Traffic is light at about
that time and we begin our journey south, following the
Ping River downstream. The ride is pleasant and green due
to the proximity of the river. Our first stop brings us
to a setting reminiscent of the early years of the century.
Although a former leper colony, riders will find here a
heaven of tranquility in woodland surroundings. Cycling
over small country roads you will discover the real rural
Thailand. At the end we explore the temple ruins of the
former capital of Lanna before we cycle back to Chiang Mai.
Entering the city will be no problem. Our bicycles are part
of the solution! Arrival at the hotel is around 12:30 p.m.
- Distance: around 30 km
- Terrain: flat with about 1.5 km unsealed road
- Landscape: (green) with various kinds of nature, good
contact with local people
- Age group: everyone between 7 and 77 in normal condition
- Category: leisure cycling (but it is compulsory to wear
a cycling helmet)

- Bicycles: Very good, modified mountain bikes with 24 gears

After
lunch at the hotel, visit the most interesting places in
Chiang Mai such as Wat Phra Singh with its famous
Buddha image, the Hill tribe Museum (closed Saturday and
Sunday), and Wat Doi Suthep, tucked away in the mountains
at 1,056 meters above sea level.
In the
evening enjoy a typical Thai dinner with a presentation
of traditional dances from Northern Thailand. Accommodation
at CHIANG MAI PLAZA.

/ Wednesday
Day 5 : CHIANG MAI - HMONG HILLTRIBE LODGE (B/L/D)
After
breakfast, depart Chiang Mai to Mae Sa Valley. Visit an
elephant camp to watch the elephants at work. Their
strength and clever teamwork will amaze you.
Optional
:
Take a one-hour elephant ride into the jungle surroundings.
Cost per person: 700. - Baht.
Continue
to an Orchid Farm, lunch at Suan Bua Restaurant.
Proceed to visit the Meo Hill tribe Village at Nong
Hoi Mai and continue to Ban Meo Mae Ki (for group sizes
of 7 or more persons, transportation to the Hill tribe village
is on pick up trucks / Landrovers). Check in at The Hmong
Hilltribe Lodge. The afternoon is at leisure, take a
walk through the hill tribe village or rent a bicycle to
explore the neighborhood. B.B.Q.dinner at Hmong Hilltribe
Lodge followed by presentation of Meo dances and songs.

/ Thursday
Day 6 : HMONG HILLTRIBE LODGE - THATORN - CHIANG RAI (B/L/D)
After
breakfast, depart for Fang and Thatorn via Chiang Dao.
Short stop at the village of Chiang Dao for drinks and walk
around the local market. En route, visit to Huay Luek, a
Meo hilltribe village. After arrival in Thatorn,
a small village just a few kilometers away from the Burmese
border, lunch is served at Maekok River Village Resort.
Depart by long tailed motor boats from Ban Phatai for
a three hour journey down the Kok River, passing tiny
hill tribe villages consisting of simple bamboo huts among
lush vegetation. A stop will be made to visit a Lahu
hill tribe village and at a cave housing many sacred
Buddha statues. Arrival in Chiang Rai in the early evening.
Check-in at the GOLDEN PINE RESORT. Dinner and accommodation.

Tuesday
/ Friday
Day 7 : CHIANG RAI - BANGKOK (B/L/-)
After
breakfast, visit the Golden Triangle, where the borders
of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos convene. Boat trip on the
Mekong River to Chiang Saen. After lunch at a local
restaurant, transfer to Chiang Rai Airport. Depart Chiang
Rai by afternoon flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival transfer
to your hotel in Bangkok.
